Damaris Love Houck // Boise Newborn Session

I first met Trent and Lauren about seven years ago. The three of us were new volunteers as the 6th grade small group leaders for our church youth group, which Brian was also serving in at the time. At the time Trent and Lauren had been married for 4ish years. Brian and Lauren ran track together during college and still share many fun memories and inside jokes from their track days.

Fast forward five years, Brian and I had moved to Idaho and Trent and Lauren were in San Diego. Our church announced the need for a new youth pastor, and Brian said to me, “For some reason, Trent’s name came to my mind. I think I’m going to call him.” Since we had all but lost touch with them after we moved to Idaho, my initial response was, “I wouldn’t call him. They aren’t going to want to move to Idaho!” Thankfully, this was one of those times my husband didn’t listen do me, because he called up Trent, and turns out, they were praying about what God had next for them. A few months later, they moved to Idaho and Trent started as the new youth pastor!

It has been fun reconnecting with them and doing ministry with them. A year after they moved, another exciting development came when we found out they were pregnant with their second baby! On March 8th 2020 they welcomed their baby girl, Damaris Love Houck and she is just the sweetest!
