Swan Falls Engagement Session // Maia and Brandon

Maia and Brandon met in Whitefish, MT. Maia was a teacher at a school in Whitefish and one of the students’ mom was on a mission to set Maia up with a guy. Brandon happened to be one of the guys that she said Maia just “had to meet!” Maia decided to give it a chance and sent Brandon a message. About a week later, they met up in person and went on a short hike. They hit it off and the rest is history!

Maia and Brandon love to spend time outside, and spent their first summer hiking through Glacier National Forest. Brandon is an avid hunter and Maia loves hearing him explain about nature and hunting during their many hiking adventures. Fun fact, while taking these photos, Brandon spotted two elk, from what seemed like miles away! When he pointed them out to Maia and I they looked like two specs on the hillside, and I never would have guessed they were elk.

When I asked Brandon what were some of his favorite characteristics about Maia, he responded, “her heart, kindness, gentleness, and how she makes me a better man. I love how she strives to do the right thing.” Maia said about looking forward to marriage, “I'm so excited to have a life companion, and a best friend who I can talk to about anything. I'm looking forward to growing and changing together, and knowing we will always be there for each other.”

These engagement photos were taken at an overlook near the Swan Falls Dam in Murphy, Idaho. We had so much fun tromping through the sagebrush and dancing on the cliffs overlooking the Snake River gorge.
