Sunset Maternity Photos

The evening of this maternity session one of those random Boise summer storms rolled in. The weather app showed it ending before we were scheduled to start and so I was banking on that being the case. On the way to the shoot I was noticing the sky looking pretty gray and ominous right down by where we were meeting. I texted Ella to let her know I was watching the weather, and was still hoping it wouldn’t be raining by the time we got to our location. She was wondering if any bit of gray in the sky or drizzling would ruin the pictures. And my response was, “I actually think clouds creates really pretty even lighting, and we might end up with some epic skies!” We proceeded with the session as planned and it turned out to be one of my favorite sunset sessions of all time.

It’s crazy to me that all of these pictures are from the same night. Every direction we turned the clouds were lit up in different colors and the steep hike that left us breathless was worth it for the 360 degree views. Ethan and Ella will be welcoming a baby girl any day now! Congratulations!
