Boise Fall Family Photoshoot

Fall is by far the most popular time for family photography in Boise and it is not hard to understand why. Idaho has the privilege of getting to experience a true fall where the leaves turn from green to a wide array of deep red, orange, yellow or brown. In addition, I love the texture of the grasses and various other plants as they die off or go dormant and go to seed. Add in the often cloudy skies and colorful sunsets of fall and you have the recipe for beautiful family photos.

This family photoshoot goes down in the books as a favorite. As a boy mom, it is so fun for me to get to photograph a family of girls with cute bows and cute dresses. Even though this session was in November, which is typically after peak color in boise, we lucked out and were able to still find some color at the Boise Military Reserve trail. Had it not been for the cloudy day, we wouldn’t have been able to get the mountains in the background, but thankfully the weather was on our side.
