Boise Family Photoshoot // Young Family

I will be the first to tell you that sometimes taking family pictures is no easy feat. BUT hard doesn’t equal bad. I find that the ages from 1-3 are some of the most difficult to capture, but also some of the most rewarding.

This sweet family had 18 month old twins and poor sweet Theo was not having it from the moment they pulled into the parking lot. After lots of tears, the one glimmer of a smile came when he got to throw me his little toy football and so that quickly became the staple of the photoshoot.

With family photos, I think it is so sweet to capture those candid real life moments. That doesn’t mean we won’t try to get a photo of everybody smiling, but that isn’t all that we are after. Kids running, getting tickled, and crawling in the dirt looking for rocks, mom and dad sharing a look of “yikes, this is a little crazy!” That is all not just OKAY but welcomed here!

Despite it being a little rough, we still were able to capture some pretty sweet photos of this dear family!
